Dried Flower Bouquet

  1. Choose flower blooms from your garden such as Zinnias, Dahlias, Roses and Marigolds. Orange and yellow colors preserve best, but try the others too!

  2. Use an airtight container such as a large plastic storage container and cover the bottom with 1inch of Borax.

  3. Place the blossoms face down on this base and cut the stem to 1 inch. Remove any leaves.

  4. Entirely cover the blossoms with Borax and put on a lid to seal tightly. Wash hands.

  5. Place in a cool dark place for 1-2 weeks.

  6. Remove and dust flowers off carefully. Wash hands. To add stems for a bouquet display, use 20-22 gauge florist wire covered with green florist tape. Arrange a bouquet. You could tie a ribbon bow around this bunch if you like. Enjoy!
