Choose flower blooms from your garden such as Zinnias, Dahlias, Roses and Marigolds. Orange and yellow colors preserve best, but try the others too!
Use an airtight container such as a large plastic storage container and cover the bottom with 1inch of Borax.
Place the blossoms face down on this base and cut the stem to 1 inch. Remove any leaves.
Entirely cover the blossoms with Borax and put on a lid to seal tightly. Wash hands.
Place in a cool dark place for 1-2 weeks.
Remove and dust flowers off carefully. Wash hands. To add stems for a bouquet display, use 20-22 gauge florist wire covered with green florist tape. Arrange a bouquet. You could tie a ribbon bow around this bunch if you like. Enjoy!
